The cryocooling of new electronic elements, which is essential for the scale-up of superconducting quantum computers, is also to be considered. So far, 2 to 3 microwave conductors are still needed per QuBit for the control and readout of QuBits, which cause considerable effort and heat input.
Here, a fruitful cooperation of KIT, PTB and Stahl-Electronics together with the cryotechnology companies (Cryovac, Entropy, etc.) is expected.
For this purpose, a multi-stage cryogenic system for flat cooling of QuBits and pre-cooling of the electronics after approximately the first stage of a pulse tube cooler (at about 45 K) will be investigated.
